The standing rock tribe are being silenced about what is going on up there with the Dakota access pipe line.
I beg of you to help me get the topic out. It will affect millions of lives. The pipe will leave into the tribes only source of drinking water. We are trying so hard to get this out on twitter and facebook, but we are being silenced.
Today a security team came into the middle of a peaceful native american protest and numerous people got maced and bitten by the dogs.
I want you all to take a look at the terror on these young girls faces. Then I want you to take a look at the two aggressive dogs. When did it become OK to use dogs against children, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters OUR freakin people!!! The police will only let a dog go if the suspect runs or the suspect is violent and causes a threat to the public of the officer. Do you see a weapon in these young girls hands? Do these girls look dangerous? The answer would be no. No they don’t. The people with the dogs aren’t even police officers! They are security guards. They couldn’t even keep control of their own dogs leading to them being attacked also.
Most of you won’t even bat an eyelid at my posts, others will be annoyed because of my constant posting.This is happening right this second and threatening millions of lives. I have to help. We can only break the silence if you join us in this fight. Just sharing my post helps the reality of the situation get out there. [UPDATE 9/3/2016: Medics confirm 6 people bit by dogs total, and 12 people treated for pepper spray. Up to 30 people were sprayed, and the 12 confirmed were treated. Just talked to a guy with video who was there and says many were “misted” by the spray too. No signs posted- “Attack dogs at work” and illegal to use dogs on land not owned by Dakota Access. No ID or verbal warnings. A young girl bit by a dog, in hospital now, and another pregnant woman bit on the shoulder. Everyone on front line pepper sprayed, including women and children.]

I’m 20 years old, I’m unemployed and I’ve been homeless since I was 15. My parents kicked me out because they found out I was gay. The place that I’ve been staying has told me that I have until September 13 to find another place to stay. All the shelters in town are full and my only options are to stay with a past abuser or sleep on the streets. I have talked with my case manager and there are not a lot of resources to help me. I suffer from several mental illnesses that prevent me from working, my therapist hasn’t even cleared me for a part time job yet.
I got this letter in the mail today. it’s from a collections agency stating that I owe them nearly $370 from a prior hospital visit. (The prior hospital visit was against my will, I was forcibly taken to the ER by police and held there overnight). please help me I don’t have a place to live I cannot pay this bill. If you know anybody in MN in the Saint Cloud area with a spare room or even a couch I can stay on please please tell me. I’m so scared of being on the streets while the weather is changing, homeless people freeze to death in my town every year.

no you don’t understand. People freak the fuck out if you don’t enforce human gender roles on dogs. They get fucking belligerent. I work in a pet store and the number of times people have gotten LIVID with me for not just automatically assuming their dog not only required but personally wanted the most stringent enforcement of human gender norms is mindblowing.
People demand dog shampoos that smell “masculine” because “He’s a boy he doesn’t want to smell like flowers” even though he’s a dog and if he had his way he would smell like duck poop. And those shampoos exist! That’s the worst part! There’s enough demand for dog shampoo that smells like Axe body spray that they exist and they sell well.
Or the seemingly nice old lady that shouted “PINK! OBVIOUSLY! SHE’S GIRL SHE HATES OTHER COLORS!” at me when i asked what color harness she wanted for her lapdog. Even though her dog can’t actually see the color pink and does not now and will not ever give a single flying dog fart what color her harness is.

Or, like, when you ask, “Oh, what’s her name?” And they get super indignant and are all like, “Well, HIS name is BRUTUS.” Sorry I didn’t lie down on the ground to examine your dog’s belly to determine if it had a penis. Also, if you’ve gotten Brutus fixed, (or alternately Fifi,) they are sexually neutral. Also also DOGS DON’T HAVE GENDER. Dogs have a sex, but gender as we know it–with colors, styles, names, etc–is all a social construct anyway. Totally exclusive to humans.
My stepmom’s family named their cat Simon because they thought it was a male, but it turns out she’s a girl and guess what? Her name is still Simon, and *gasp* she doesn’t care. All she cares about is if you’re going go scratch her ears and give her chicken.
Like, ok, I get that it’s important to know which sex your animal is (especially when they aren’t fixed yet) because males and females have different health issues, but OH MY GOSH PEOPLE calm down, just pet the dogs and chill out.
This post could be renamed: See people’s own insecurities with their gender come to life without ever requesting the experience.
