Shitty gay white guy who’s making money off of people saying they’re “over racism” doesn’t seem to himself understand some basic things about not being a fucking racist.
Like that part about how calling people “stupid” – or any other language that implies that they’re like “primitive” or “uncivilized” – is one of the basic mechanisms through which racism and colonialism have been able to legitimize themselves to their white populations.
Like how THESE ARE THE EXACT SAME KIND OF ATTITUDES THAT LED TO FUCKING SLAVERY AND GENOCIDE. White people thinking they should go in and fucking “save Africa” even now, raising money for their own damn ego-feeding voluntourism shit that more often than not harms the people they’re supposedly “helping”.
Like fuck of course it’s bullshit that folks are being killed or imprisoned for their sexualities, but calling them “stupid” and “illiterate” is not the way to fucking address the issue.
